A brief history ...
Dating back to the early 1900's, Grenaways’ history is grounded in Stoke on Trent, where it has evolved into the multi-channel business supplies company it is today.
Now managed by the second generation of Urwins, we are a family business and proud of it.
Having supplied and serviced manual typewriters, office furniture, and photocopiers to local companies and public sector bodies for seventy years, in the 1980s Grenaways expanded the range to include business machines and office supplies.
Our purchase of commercial printers Dobson & Co in 1985 brought us in-house print-production, a facility which allows greater flexibility in meeting our clients’ needs. While other companies are bound by the prescriptive product list and timescale of the print houses to which they outsource, we can be far more adaptable and creative in our print offering.
We pride ourselves on understanding our customers’ needs and continue to broaden our range, which now includes promotional items, workwear and janitorial supplies, making us a single-source supplier to offices large and small.
Extensive-investment in our back-office systems has made our customer service second to none. While our account managers and sales team are always available by phone, we are happier still to discuss your requirements face to face. It might seem old-fashioned, but with our long history, we understand that some traditions are worth holding on to.
